Our globe valve is strictly designed as per BS 1873 and related standards, and also can be API 623 as per client’s requirements. Wall thickness as per API 600, which is of bigger thickness than ASME B16.34 standard, and will be performace more stable. For size above 8”, can’t be designed as double disc type, which is of lower torque and thrust value while compared with single disc type.
Globe valve is a multi-turn and uni-directional valve, valve should be installed as per the flow direction which is indicated on the valve body. Unlike ball and gate valves, The flow pattern through a globe valve involves changes in direction, resulting in greater flow restriction, and a large pressure drop, as media moves through the valve internals, so it’s suggested to be used for pipelines where it is desired to reduce the media pressure when going through a valve.
Shut-off is accomplished by moving the disc against the fluid, rather than across it, this reduces wear and tear on the closure. Other than on-off purpose, globe valves can also be used as throttling flow control, as the disc is a swivel plug shape.
Globe valves are widely used for oil , natural gas, LNG, petrolumn, refining, chemical, mining, water treatment, power plant, etc.
